Right after lockdown might seem an unusual time to purchase a business but that was when Chetwins changed hands in July. After being owned by Fraser Chetwin, who started the business over 50 years ago, it was time for Fraser to move on with the next chapter of his life. Chetwins had been an agent for NaturalFlow, a product supplied by family owned business Waterflow. Gerry Hoyle, who had worked for Waterflow, heard that Fraser wanted to sell and the rest is history. “Chetwins is a great fit for NaturalFlow’s product and I could also see the great business and client following Fraser had built up over the years. We will continue his legacy as well as build on this,” says Gerry. Since Gerry took Chetwins over the company has grown rapidly due to unprecedented demand in the construction sector since Covid-19. Staff numbers have doubled signalling a bright future under the new ownership.
